Our team at Liles Construction gravitates to projects with a bigger story behind them. Our recent build for Weathered Souls Brewing Company was certainly one of those meaningful projects.
This 10-barrel brewery is Charlotte’s only Black-owned brewery. It’s also the second location for this brewery, which is based out of San Antonio, Texas.
The Weathered Souls’ build included an 8,700 square feet adaptive reuse building located on Clanton Road in Charlotte. Redline Design was the architect behind this project.
The main challenges that our Liles Construction team overcame included a mid-stream change in the menu, which meant a mid-build swap of the kitchen equipment. Additionally, a cocktail bar was added. However, despite these two changes, we didn’t lose any time on the project, which was quite a significant accomplishment for our team.
Superintendent Louis Popoff and Project Engineer Brenden Eaton led the project build and did a fantastic job. We’re thrilled to have worked on the Weathered Souls project and can’t wait to raise a glass to this fantastic brewery addition to the Charlotte craft beer scene.
