This project was to build a social club in the 7,500sf basement of Optimist Hall. The club provides a unique atmosphere to relax in Charlotte. The challenge was to build a unique Southwestern theme in an old textile mill. Tight column spacing and busted base building dimensions required multiple unforeseen redesigns.
Liles Construction came up with solutions and offered them to the design team and the owner each time we ran into an issue. This allowed for quick resolution of each problem. Many contractors create an RFI and just wait for a response; this puts the burden of responsibility on the design team and owners. Because the owner and design team trusted Liles’ feedback and suggestions, we were able to provide solutions that were quickly accepted with each RFI.
