The Lintmen's Project has been an extraordinary experience for our team at Liles Construction. This planned campus was inspired by the close-knit mill village where it originated. The developers at The Pamaka Group sought to build a community meeting place centered around creating, sharing, eating and having fun.

That’s where our team at Liles Construction comes in. We’ve had a fantastic time working on three unique projects on the Lintmen’s site. These include the shell building, a food hall upfit, and a new restaurant upfit. The food hall build included bringing 13 different restaurants to life in its Urban District Market, (each with its own unique kitchen!)

Kudos go out to the visionary architects at Cluck Design, as well as civil engineers Urban Design Partners. An added benefit of this project for Liles was the ability to work on so many different kinds of construction projects, including new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, and food and beverage…all in one location. This took an enormous amount of coordination, collaboration, and occasional troubleshooting to bring it all to life.

Speaking of troubleshooting, the largest issue that we faced on this build was the site. Lintmen’s was built on an old dumping ground for unsuitable materials, so we ran into a mixture of contaminated soils and a few surprise underground giant concrete balls. With creative ingenuity, our Liles team members really made this project shine. Our outstanding project team members included:

The Lintmen’s project was a treat for our team at Liles to construct. Want to see it for yourself? Just hop on the train and get off at the 25th Ave Station. Just a short walk from there you’ll find the nice neighbors, pubs, parks, restaurants, and walkability of the Lintmen’s Community.

In October 2023, the Lintmen's project won an 2023 AIA Charlotte Adaptive Reuse Award and the City of Charlotte Great Development Near Transit Award.
